A Note from the President
Welcome to the Bauer MBA Society! As an organization committed to bridging the gap between classroom and board room, we welcome you. We offer many opportunities to augment classroom instruction with practical, hands-on applications, leadership experiences, and networking possibilities.
Within the Bauer MBA Society are several acting Clubs that you can meet with, learn from and be involved with. One membership covers them all, so please take advantage of the opportunities that are present.
It is the greatest honor to serve you as acting President for the Bauer 2012-2013 academic year. I consider myself very fortunate to carry this duty, as it means leading the best student organization at Bauer. And it is the best student organization because it has the best members!

Upcoming BMBAS Events
Batter up! The Bauer College Alumni Association will be hosting a networking luncheon at Minute Maid Park on April 2. Come out to network with fellow alumni and hear from Houston Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow.
In this competition, hosted by the Rice Jones Graduate School of Business, teams from MBA programs in Texas and Louisiana solve a real-life marketing issue for Cameron and will have the added opportunity to network with top marketing executives from the company.
You are invited to join fellow BMBAS members as we take in a polo match at The Houston Polo Club! Attendees will be treated to an introduction to the sport by one of the evening’s players, where you will get a primer on the history and rules of the game.
Join us on Sunday, April 14th from 6:00-9:00 PM for our end of the semester banquet where we will honor BMBAS members, Mentors, UH faculty and staff.
Join Bauer alumni May 13 at Champions Golf Club, one of Houston’s elite golf courses, to help support the Bauer College Alumni Association scholarship fund during the Ted Bauer Golf Classic. Registration is now open, so grab your spot today.

Richmond Arms Pub
Members of the BMBAS and its Mentor Program met Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 for an evening of good times, good drinks and the chance to network with all the mentors and fellow proteges.
Several mentors came freely speaking with students about their experiences, who they knew in the industry, and what advice they had for MBA students looking to grow their career. More than one business card exchanged hands and lots of new friends were made.
It is one more reason why BMBAS is the preeminent student organization at Bauer, and for those who attended, we are glad you joined us.
