Mission
Within the Bauer Marketing Club, we provide networking events, forums, panel discussions, and roundtables to connect Bauer graduate students to the Houston marketing industry. We also link students to marketing job and internship opportunities through connections within the American Marketing Association (AMA), Houston Interactive Marketing Association (HiMA), and the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

President of Marketing Club
Daniel Coleman, Full-Time MBA
Daniel is in his second year of the Full-Time MBA program at Bauer. With over a decade of marketing and advertising experience, Daniel brings a vast knowledge of the landscape, an expansive network and a drive for all things marketing to the presidency. Daniel is very excited to work with the board of the marketing club to create experiences that are meaningful for the club’s members. Daniel has two young daughters and is happy to talk about them for hours and show you pictures.

Sara Brown, Full-Time MBA
Sara is second-year Full-Time MBA student and will graduate in May of 2019. She received her BBA in Management with a minor in Supply Chain from the University of Houston and returned to further her education in business. What drew Sara towards marketing was a) the awesome people, and b) how integral marketing can be to the success of a business before you get to advertising and sales. Originally from Austin, born and raised, and will eventually move back there to open my own business. As a coffee addict, one of her life’s missions is to convert others to the dark, or light, roast side. Fun fact, the darker the roast the less caffeine there is per bean.

Jenny Wu, Full-Time MBA
Jenny is a Full-Time MBA student entering my final year. Jenny received a BS in Business Administration from Trinity University with concentrations in Marketing and International Business. Marketing has always held an appeal for Jenny so for the MBA program, she is focusing on the digital side of marketing. Some activities Jenny enjoys in her free time are hot yoga, pool, and swing dancing.

Shohrat Balgulyyev, Full-Time MBA
Shohrat a second-year MBA student planning to graduate in May 2019. He received a BBA from Hunan University, China in 2005 and then worked in sales and supply chain management roles in the oil and gas industry for nine years. Shohrat is passionate about languages and cultures, and that is one reason that he decided to come to the United States. He is fluent in four languages. Shohrat moved to Houston from Turkmenistan in July 2017 just before starting the Bauer MBA program. His wife and two kids joined him after living apart for five months.

Vishalatha Bhamidipaty, MS Marketing
Vishalatha earned her MBA from India and majored in Marketing and Strategy. She earned her Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering and has five years of work experience in product engineering services and customer strategy areas. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Marketing.

Jack Foreman, Full-Time MBA
Jack is a second year MBA student focused on facilitating medical innovation in Houston. Following a BS in neuroscience, Jack worked as a clinical research assistant studying the effects of brain injuries, but after seeing the disconnect between scientists and administrators, he was motivated to pursue an MBA to help bridge the gap. While Jack is not interested in becoming a marketing professional, he appreciates the significant merit of marketing across industries and recognizes the necessity of remaining familiar with the field.

Christian Merenu , MS Marketing
With a background in communications and media, Christian Merenu is an MS Marketing Student set to graduate in the 2018 Fall semester.

Hannah Swenson , Professional MBA
Hannah completed her undergraduate in Marketing at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. After graduation she began working in marketing with Cigna for the Tennessee market. In 2015, she moved to Houston to continue her career in marketing with Cigna, while pursuing her MBA.
